INTERESTS: Weather, climate, and environmental effects on ecosystems and public health, boundary-layer meteorology, remote and in situ sensing, and atmospheric effects on electromagnetic propagation.

- 1991-1996: University of Maryland Department of Meteorology, College Park, MD. PhD (Meteorolgy), May 1996; MS (Meteorology), May 1994. 45 semester credit-hours, including 3 hours of biosphere-atmosphere interaction. Advisor: Carton.
- 1981-1983: University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering and Applied Science, Philadelphia, PA. MSE (Electrical Engineering & Science), 1983. 30 semester credit-hours, including 6 hours quantum mechanics, 6 hours mathematical methods of physics and 3 hours remote sensing.
- 1980-1982: University of Pennsylvania Dept. of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine , Philadelphia, PA. Pathology Resident. Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Medical License, 1981.
- 1976-1980: University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, Oklahoma City, OK. MD, 1980. 358 credit-hours.
- 1972-1976: University of Oklahoma College of Engineering, Norman, OK. BS (Engineering Physics) with Special Distinction, 1976. 148 semester credit-hours, including 32 hours physics, 27 hours mathematics and 23 hours chemistry.
