Data and Models

• • A two layer baroclinic model was used.
  • 128 realizations of 30 day averages were selected from an extended run.
  • Three truncations were used; T31, T42 and T63.
  • An NMC model archive of 9 realizations tions of 45 year runs was also analyzed.
  • Geopotential height fields were used in the analysis.
  • The statistical calculations referred to above were applied to this data.
