Brief summary of available products:

• The NOAA/NESDIS operational product from January 1996 till present is provided on a continuous basis, almost in real time (one day lag). This product is produced with Version 1.0 at 1/2 degree resolution, for daytime only.
  
  
• A "Reprocessed" product at 1/2 degree resolution for the period January 1996 to 2000. This product was produced at the University of Maryland with Version 2.0 which has improved capabilities to detect clouds over snow. As such, the winter season radiative fluxes are substantially improved as compared to Version 1.0 (see here). The cloud detection algorithm works also at nighttime and therefore it was possible to estimate cloud amount and land surface temperature both during the day and night.
  
  
• A "Reprocessed" product at 1/8th degree resolution for the period January 1996 to 2000. This product was produced at the University of Maryland with Version 2.1 which has improved capabilities to detect clouds over snow. As such, the winter season radiative fluxes are substantially improved as compared to Version 1.0 (see here). The cloud detection algorithm works also at nighttime and therefore, it was possible to estimate cloud amount and land surface temperature both during the day and night. The basic difference between Version 2.0 and 2.1 is related to improved cloud detection methods (the same inference scheme). The two versions were compared and results are presented in here.
